Mortgage Assistant

Helping you stay in your home while you regain your financial footing

The Mortgage Diversion Program helps those who are behind on their mortgage and have received a sheriff’s notice, also known as an Urgent Notice. To benefit from this program, the homeowner needs to speak with one of the housing counseling agencies listed on the Urgent Notice. Berks Community Action Program has trained counselors who will help work out an arrangement with your mortgage company free of charge.

The homeowner must call one of the agencies listed on the Urgent Notice within ten (10) days of receiving the notice.

Berks Community Action Program staff will help you with the next steps.
